The public account "Shanghai Airport Group" posted an article on the same day that according to the impact of typhoon " Chanthu", from 0:00 on September 13, the traffic capacity of Shanghai Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport would drop significantly, and more than 80% of inbound and outbound flights would be reduced and cancelled. After 11:00, all inbound and outbound flights at Pudong Airport would be cancelled; after 15:00, all inbound and outbound flights at Hongqiao Airport would be cancelled.

The airports said that they had not received a notice to stop operations, and that the flight was all normal.
